Hello, in this module, we will take a deeper look into the automotive and transportation sector, as this sector is poised for large growth. If you'll remember back to course one where we looked at market size opportunities, and we saw that the automotive and transportation sector was estimated to grow to US $154 billion at a compound annual growth rate of 30 percent. This segment is worth taking a deeper look at. We're going to look at cars, trucking, logistics, trains or rail, sometimes it's known as rail, planes, and shipping, big container ships that ship goods across the ocean, smart roads and traffic control systems, and smart parking. So, learning outcomes has understand that enormous engineering opportunities exist in this space, whether that's something you are looking forward to do yourself or not. I did want to focus on this, and grasp how this course is part of the embedded system engineering course program. Grasp how your other ESE skills can be deployed in the automotive and transportation segment. So, flashing way back to the beginning of the semester, this was an overview slide from the markets and markets report that showed automotive and transportation is going to grow from 31 billion estimated in 2016 to over a $154 billion in revenue in 2022. That's a typo, it should be 2022. So, there's this tremendous amount, I think I said it earlier in the semester, wherever the money is, that's where the opportunities are for you for employment. That's why we're here to help you get a job.
