I think that we're never an exact replica of another individual and each of us is a seed that cannot grow alone, and that in order
for you to grow, it is hugely beneficial to view things from different perspectives, from the different practices of people who have found their way, who have been the hero of their own lives, undoubtedly by building on what others have done, but also taking time to think, "hey, but me, what can I do in this world, both to make it a better place and for my own happiness?". I personally don't think you can offer something to others by making a sacrifice, commitment is not a sacrifice, commitment is something real, this seed that was born because it was something you thought about, because you were impacted by such-and-such that moves each of us to say, hey, when I get up in the morning, what can I do to make the world a slightly better place. In so doing... and this doesn't stop you setting up a company, even making a profit... it doesn't mean you can't make individual commitments, collective commitments... It probably does stop you being arrogant, being smug, self-important. But I think that throughout every stage of one's life, because there isn't any single moment when you are able to provide things to others and another when you're not, there's a time when you have the freshness of youth, and then later wisdom, being the hero of your own life, living your dreams, means being bold-- individually, collectively... and being bold isn't something that happens overnight, by saying one morning hey, I'm going to be bold and do something, it's born out of looking, thinking... and most likely being enriched with other people, and then at some point or other, well, the seed that you are grows, yields something, and finally it will grow a little better once it produces a yield, but not just for me.
