Now that you have completed the materials of this brand and content marketing course, we are ready to move on to this peer-reviewed exercise as the capstone project for the course on brand and content marketing. The main objective of this capstone project is for you to apply the knowledge acquired about branded content. For these so you will have the opportunity to develop a narrative content for a brand. Choose one of your favorite brands, one that you are strongly connected to. Then put yourself in the shoes of a communications professional who has received the request for developing branded content strategy for that brand. They need to create awareness about a new product or initiative they will be launching in six months. They want to put in place a content strategy two months before the launch. Using mainly their website and their main social media account. It can be Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube. So in this project what you are going to be doing is to develop a branded content strategy for your selected brand, to implement it for two months, to support their next launching. So your content strategy plan, we have to include work on five different aspects. One, the branding strategy and target audience. The first step will be to define which is the business objective of your campaign. Afterwards, you will have to identify which is the community you want to relate to with this campaign, and which are the conversations they're having. Think also about which can be your contribution to the topics that are relevant to that community. Two, the story that will serve as the backbone for your content strategy. Think about your contribution to the conversation in a narrative way, defining which is your basic story, how to make it appealing, meaningful, and engaging to your audience. Think about your key message. The most important point embodied in story. What's your goal in telling the story? What meaning do you want others to have rushed? What do you want the audience to believe and do after you share the story? Three, the definition of the type of content that you will create, the platforms where it will be published, and the frequency of the publications. Four, write the concept of your story. A brief outline of the basic elements involved in your story. It will be a description of the main narrative elements. Quiz in this sorry the protagonist. What do they want? What gets in the way and what do they do? Or, where does it all take place? Five, write the treatment of your story with a description of the plot, scene by scene. This would be the equivalent of a painter sketch. Choose one paragraph for each major narrative beat, meaning, an event in which the action, the system, or revelations of that moment move the plot forward. Define the first and final seeds. The [inaudible] will be a four-page document, clearly identifying the above stated elements. It should include visual elements. For example, for the finding the look and feel of the visual elements of your content you can deliver the material in whichever form you choose as long as it covers the above features. Once you are finished with that, your assignment will be peer reviewed by another student in this specialization. Estimated time completion for this project is two hours. Good luck with the project.
