What I really like about this course and prior courses in this Professional Certificate are the Hands-on Activity because I believe that in order to learn the data analysis and the methods and tools to be used, you need to have a grasp of it and follow and simulate what the instructor is doing.

I also like the reading that support the video tutorials. Too long but full of useful content. However, BigQuery is overwhelming due to it's user interface but soon I'll get used to it. Haha!

I just noticed that most of the video tutorials contains warning that prompts us to inform that there's a change in the tools, particularly in Google Sheets . I mean, it's ok. There's no problem for me at all. It's understood that re-recording the videos is time-consuming and costly.

Still, 5 stars for you, Google!

This particular course was a little difficult for me but not because I did not understand the course materials. The weekly challenges and the course challenge was more difficult than the previous ones. Somehow, it was difficult for me to understand the way the questions were being phrased. But all in all the instructor was great; the course materials were good as well, which is why I am still giving this course 5 stars. I hope though the questions are phrased in a beginner friendly way. There is one particular question in the course challenge where I wasn't sure what syntax of CONCAT it meant. I got really confused because I practice of SQL Server rather than BigQuery. Maybe that was my fault for not studying more, but still. Nevertheless, 5/5. This course was a great lesson all in all. Thank you for your hard work!

All in all it's on the same level of structure and quality as other courses in this specialization.

The only advice I would give to my past self before entering this course would be to adjust my timing expectations. Subjectively it requires more time per week than any previous course in the specialization. This may be connected with the increased complexity, the need to investigate some challenges (there’re moments when what the instructor shows is outdated in comparison with how the public dataset looks now, and it’s a great time to practice problem-solving) and, seemingly, more units of information per week. This led to my usual rhythm being insufficient to stay within the deadlines: the choice was either to increase my time investments per week or feel bad about myself when pushing the deadlines.

This course was extremely valuable and, like the other previous courses, was well-organised, with each section following the one before in a logical manner. I like how both spreadsheets and SQL are included and that the same skills are demonstrated in each. I found the SQL parts to be of most value to me, as I am very comfortable using spreadsheets, and these were taught in a simple-to-understand manner. One thing that was not touched upon was the output of analysis, as much of the content of this course appeared to be pre-processing, or preliminary analysis work. I think that one of the future courses (course 6-8) will contain more in terms of statistical analysis. All-in-all, a very good summary of the data analysis process and working with data once it's clean and correct.

Certain Public data sets have changed their data fields values into "nulls", had to work around on the same activities/exercise with other available data sets to learn few SQL queries, by far from my learning experience this was one of the complex course covering numerous concepts and this one needs more practice and for that matter all the covered courses needs practice and there should a detailed map which i am planning to prepare, presumably share with others.

Este módulo del curso es muy bueno. Tener en cuenta que es una introducción a SQL y a funciones un poco mas avanzadas en hojas de cálculos. En SQL, aprenderás a acostumbrarte a la estructura básica SELECT FROM WHERE. Además verás en acción funciones como JOIN y sus variantes, GROUP BY, ORDER BY, HAVING, CASE y WITH. A medida que vas avanzando en el curso, los elementos y recursos que vas aprendiendo te va a ayudar a pensar en diferentes formas con las que puedes atacar tus ideas o proyectos. Respecto a hojas de cálculos, aprenderás funciones como SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, VLOOKUP. La profesora Ayanna es objetiva concisa y lleva muy bien las clases y el contenido.

I absolutely love the diversity in the presenters for each of these courses in the program. The presenters were very knowledgeable but were excellent in breaking down the information in a beginner-friendly manner. There was so much content, but possible to learn and understand. I really loved the interactive lessons that gave the learner the plenty opportunity to practice the new content within each lesson. I really enjoyed this program that helped me to learn what I needed to learn without feeling overwhelmed. It was also extremely helpful that the design of the new information was always presented in a manner that real-world applications.

It was a great course! I was able to learn a lot of fundamentals about the data analysis process. I will continue learning and going to the next course of the Google Analytics Professional Certificate. Thanks once again for the materials you provided.

Realmente el curso es muy bueno , he aprendido mucho sobre el manejo, en google sheets ,del menu principal en el submenú Datos . Lo mismo ha sucedido con SQL y como realizar la sintaxis al usar los comandos (statements) SELECT , FROM , WHERE, ORDER BY, GROUP BY , JOIN ,COUNT, CONCAT Y otros. Ha sido muy importante el uso de BigQuery console , para seguir las sesiones o lecciones y para realizar los ejercicios que por mi parte he podido construir para obtener respuestas a las preguntas que me hago sobre un conjunto de datos que se encuentren alli en la BigQuery console

To Ms LAYLA, I do value the insights and guidance you have provided me all through out your course. IT WAS REALLY HARD, harder than Ms SALLY. But, It is worth challenging job working on the quizzes. Its hard to grasp everything in just limited time. I really need to review everything. What I missed most is working on bigquery. Whenever I tried to run my project, the administrator disabled that feature, even if I am still within the period of free trial. Anyway, I was able to pass through the eye of a needle. Thank you to All the lecturers.

Awesome job by Google. Deserves more appreciation than it already enjoys. Could have been even better if the complex queries and analysis processes were discussed more along with a thorough look up at every aspect of complex queries so that such teachings could also be tested in the weekly and course challenges. This would have added more confidence for the learner in his/her abilities upon the completion of the certificate. But once again, it is a wonderful course with a very well-defined structure and instructions. Too good.

This course exceeded my expectations in every way possible! As someone who works with data daily, I wanted to enhance my analytical skills further, and this course delivered exactly that. The modules were well-structured, covering everything from formulating questions to advanced techniques for analyzing large datasets. What truly sets this course apart is the practical aspect - there are numerous opportunities throughout each lesson to apply what you've learned through interactive exercises and assignments.

The Google Data Analytics course is a gem for starters and experienced alike. It encompasses much above what the youtubers are offering as it explores the causation of a training requirement and then matches it with the relevant topic. Although the course does not delve deep, it still is able to convey the larger requirements of a Data Analyst and provides all basic skills and leaves the mastering of the topic on the analyst who can go and exemplify skills of his/her own liking and requirements. Hats off!

This course gives a lot of good practical experience in using SQL and spreadsheets to analyze data. By the end of the course you will know the limitations and advantages of each of these tools and will know which one is best suited for which type of analysis.

The course also introduces many SQL commands that are used in conjunction with one another in order to extract information from raw data. By practicing these concepts you will have a good understanding of how to gain insights from a dataset.

The course was very useful, it had a lot of information and tools to analyze data. I could say that this and the previous course provide the technical tools and the second and third course increase my detective skills.

I learned many more tools to work with my data and with the knowledge I gained I started to think of ways to use it and create data projects.

The teacher was a good guide, in this course I think she was sometimes fast when using Bigquery but the platform allows you to follow up.

Sometimes the results I got was different from what the videos suggested, and it was a bit difficult to figure out if the datasets changed or I did something wrong. Other than this I think I learned a lot from this course and could get some ideas on what's done in the analyze phase. Although I think explanations could be more detailed on more complex queries, I liked the fact that I could learn such queries and the program provides many resources I can refer to to learn more.

I enjoyed it. The SQL is new, most all of this is new. I chose this certificate over other things I could study in my free time because I believed it could offer me skills in my current professional role and it has delivered. Only 1/5 of my week might be spent working with data directly but these courses have helped me to respect data much more and helped me to use it in leveraging some situations. I do believe these courses will help me grow further with my career goals.

Ayanna did a great job on guiding and sharing her experiences on analyzing data. The course did help me to understand fundamentals of the spreadsheet and bigquery, materials are all amazing and reachable.

However there are still things I hope course might be improved: First is the syllabus, I do think team need to organize them and categorize them more precisely, secondly is the materials, there are so many of them, but the order sometimes confused me when I open links.

I learnt so much about the phase Analyze in data analysis. This course covers less theoretical concepts and focuses more on practical activities, which I enjoyed most. I had more time to use spreadsheet and SQL to organize, format, and perform calculations on data, which are some of the most common tasks of data analysts. Overall, I really enjoyed what I learnt in this course. Thanks Google and Coursera for offering this course here. Please keep up your good work!
