Bio

Jennifer Zoltners Sherer is a learning scientist whose work revolves around design, teaching, reform, and leadership. A member of the Institute for Learning’s development and delivery team for online workshops, her research interests focus on distributed leadership and improving teaching and learning in K-12 systems through tool design and implementation, professional development, reform initiatives, and curriculum. Dr. Sherer has designed and implemented professional development for K-12 teachers, contributed to the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching’s research and development efforts, and engaged in urban school reform work with the Process Engineering for Educational Results (PEER) project. She has published on distributed leadership and organizational routines. Dr. Sherer received her Ph.D. from the School of Education and Social Policy at Northwestern University.
